AECOM Water /Wastewater Engineer in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Job Summary

As part of our continued growth, our Winnipeg office is actively seeking a creative highly talented Water /Wastewater Engineer for immediate employment.

The qualified candidate will have a successful track record in the design of complex municipal and industrial facilities. You will work in a team environment to deliver advanced water and wastewater treatment projects to our client base in Manitoba, Western Canada and beyond. For someone with an interest in pursuing water /wastewater treatment work on some of the largest and most complex projects, this is an exceptional opportunity to bring your capability to the team and advance your career.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and customers

  • Support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal/industrial water, and wastewater sectors

  • Complete technical calculations

  • Prepare technical specifications and detailed designs

  • Preparation of technical reports

  • Site inspections and commissioning

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education​

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s degree in water /wastewater treatment preferred)

  • P.Eng in MB

  • Ability to take a project from inception through conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs and ultimately through to construction and commissioning

  • Strong report writing capability

  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams

  • Strong work ethic and the desire to excel

  • Experience in design, construction administration of municipal projects

  • Water /wastewater treatment expertise

  • Consulting engineering experience

  • Cost estimating and specification writing

  • Proficient in common desktop packages

  • Motivated, team player, organized, excellent communication skills
