Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Structural Technologist for immediate employment out of the Winnipeg office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Conduct structural drafting/3D BIM in concrete, steel, masonry, and wood buildings

  • Prepares finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and details.

  • Works in engineering project collaboration software platforms (i.e., ProjectWise, BIM360, AutoDesk Construction Cloud).

  • Self-checks drawings for quality assurance.

  • Works in team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues in different disciplines based in different offices.

  • Performs the responsibilities under limited supervision.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines.

  • Field inspection and construction administration of projects in construction.

  • Assist in preparation of RFI responses and site instructions as required,

  • Work both in office and field settings.


Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:

  • High School + 4 (four) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • College Diploma in Architectural or Structural Engineering Technology

  • Able to develop and advance drawings from conceptual to detailed design stage.

  • Structural design and drafting experience of industrial/maintenance facilities, and transit/municipal infrastructures.

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in 3D Revit/BIM drafting

  • Familiar with software such as: AutoCAD 2015 or later and AutoDesk Revit Family/BIM Software

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $82,000.00.
