Aecom Winnipeg is looking for a Senior Project Manager.

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented and self-motivated Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Civil Engineering specific to transportation and urban and rural conceptual, functional, preliminary and detailed road design; pavement design, drainage design, utility coordination, materials engineering, construction contract administration, proposal development, Client engagement and the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications and construction estimates.

  • Directs and managers the entire project, provides guidance to team members, subordinates, enforces company and project policies, and is the primary project liaison between AECOM and Clients.

  • Accountable for all facets of the project to ensure that the deliverables are completed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline + 10 years of related experience in transportation engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline area

  • Ideally 10+ years of experience in related engineering background

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • Experience with Manitoba municipal and provincial road design projects

  • Competent in utilizing Manitoba Infrastructure design software / programs and highway design policies and procedures

  • Experience with Transportation Association of Canada Geometric Design Manual for Canadian Roads (2017), and MI Design Supplement

  • Registered Professional Engineer in Manitoba

  • Construction and contract administration experience

  • Knowledge, training and experience with the Manitoba OH&S Act and safe work practices

  • Successful candidate should have the ability to provide technical oversight and management of highway design for a variety of complex transportation projects including both rehabilitation and new construction assignments

  • Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of all client deliverables and outputs

  • Have strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Be able to communicate effectively with Clients

  • Be able to provide innovative design solutions

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement
