AECOM CEI Inspector II in Wilmington - NC, North Carolina

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking experienced CEI Inspectors for the Wilmington, NC area. This is an opportunity to join AECOM North Carolina CEI team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs routine, standardized inspections of roadway and bridge construction to evaluate if construction conforms to NCDOT plans, specifications, and special provisions and appropriate materials and construction processes are used

  • Documents daily inspection and communicates to the lead project inspector

  • Examines and interprets construction plans, quantities, and schedules

  • Supports engineers and higher level inspectors in areas such as construction inspection, surveying and material sampling and testing

  • Completes a variety of complex calculations and check drawings

  • Prepares field books for contractor payment

  • Works independently and under the direct supervision of the CEI lead

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • HS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education or HS + 2 YORE or AA/AS (US) or Diploma/Certificate (Canada)

Preferred Qualifications

  • DOT Experience
