AECOM Utility Coordinator - TTC Projects in Whitby, Ontario

Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Utility Coordinator to work on secondment to TTC to help their teams with delivering their Transit projects.

The job incumbent will be offered a regular, full-time position with AECOM and work on secondment to TTC for about a year before returning to AECOM. Length of secondment could be extended beyond a year before returning to AECOM.

Employee will report for work at the TTC office (depending on COVID, this will be discussed with the candidate) for the length of the secondment. After the secondment is compete, the home office for the employee will be the AECOM Whitby office.

Major Responsibilities:

.1 Provide technical review and guidance to staff for the coordination of private and public utility

relocation/installations.

.2 Participate in negotiations with utility asset owners for relocating/installing utilities.

.3 Assist in developing agreements and/or cost sharing arrangements.

.4 Assist in the technical review of project designs with respect to utility related issues to ensure

standards/specifications compliance.

.5 Assist in the procurement and approvals of Offer to Connect (OTC) Agreements for power

upgrades.

.6 Advise project staff of what issues require resolution within the construction contracts to

ensure full coordination and compliance with standing.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

.7 Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.

.8 Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.

.9 Proven team player with the skills and ability to build and maintain internal and external

relationships.
