AECOM Project Manager - TTC Projects in Whitby, Ontario

Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Project Manager to work on secondment to TTC to help their teams with delivering their Transit projects.

The job incumbent will be offered a regular, full-time position with AECOM and work on secondment to TTC for about a year before returning to AECOM. Length of secondment could be extended beyond a year before returning to AECOM.

Employee will report for work at the TTC office (depending on COVID, this will be discussed with the candidate) for the length of the secondment. After the secondment is compete, the home office for the employee will be the AECOM Whitby office.

Major Responsibilities:

.1 The Project Manager ensures that the TTC’s requirements are satisfied through all phases of

the Work.

.2 Manages the project designs for the multi-year capital program.

.3 Controls delivery of projects for the multi-year capital program in accordance with the TTC’s

budget, scope, schedule and quality assurance requirements.

.4 Supervises and co-ordinates activities of the section and performs a variety of related

administrative functions.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 8 Years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

.5 Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Ontario or a licensed Architect

(OAA) in the province of Ontario.

.6 Have approximately ten (10) years experience managing and/or administering multi-

trade/discipline projects in Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) and heavy

civil/industrial construction.

.7 Proven team player with the skills and ability to build and maintain internal and external


.8 Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.

.9 Strong organization, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.

.10 Proficient at reading drawings and schematics.

.11 May be required to work overtime and to visit construction sites.
