Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an experienced professional to assist the U.S. Navy’s PMS 317 Program Office in the Integrated Topside Design area. The successful candidate will perform comprehensive topside design integration (via system engineering and integration efforts that treat all ship topside structures, associated equipment and cooperating elements as a total ship topside system while considering the impact of the mechanical, climatic, environmental, signature and electro-magnetic environmental effects upon the whole system). The candidate will also develop designs for ship compartmentation, external arrangements, general arrangements, topside arrangements, general access, and develop and maintain Weight Estimates.
Minimum Requirements
Vocational/technical training beyond high school
5-15 years of related experience in a Navy program
Extensive prior military service operational experience and military ship systems familiarization.
Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Secret clearance
Ability to travel periodically anywhere in the US
Preferred Qualifications
NAVSEA Experience
Knowledge of Amphibious Transport Dock (LPD 17) and Amphibious Replacement (LX(R)) ships
