Position Title NAVY Subject Matter Expert / Proposal Writer

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced part-time proposal writer to support multiple U.S. Navy proposal efforts. Candidate will conceptualize, write, edit, and review proposal documentation and serve as a technical volume manager and color reviewer. The candidate will engage with Business Development staff, Project Managers, and Subject Matter Experts to develop compelling technical solutions to address RFP requirements solicited by the Government. The candidate will provide, organize, consolidate, and adjudicate proposal comments. This is a telecommute position with occasional travel to Washington, DC.

Minimum Requirements

  1. BS/BA

  2. Knowledge of Navy ship and system acquisition, modernization and sustainment.

  3. 10 years of demonstrated experience with proposal writing.

  4. The flexibility to work irregular hours

  5. Strong communications and organizational skills.

  6. Strong Microsoft Office skills.

  7. US Citizenship is required to access the building site for meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Military/government as well as private sector experience.

  2. Formal proposal training.

  3. Demonstrated experience as a proposal technical volume leader.

  4. Experience with Seaport-e proposal development
