Job Summary

AECOM is actively recruiting for two (2) mid-level Logistics Technical Data/Documentation (LTD) Analysts to support the COLUMBIA Class Submarine Program. These positions report to the COLUMBIA Class Submarine Program LTD Lead and, as required, the Logistics Product Development Lead and performs the following duties:

  1. Participate in weekly meetings with PMS 397T5, ILS Team to assess LTD readiness in context of upcoming key events.

  2. Develops reviews, assesses, and validates LTD products such as equipment technical manuals, Ship Systems Manuals, Operating Instructions, Operating Procedures, Casualty Procedures, including new manuals, Manual Change Requests, and Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Reports.

  3. Coordinates with technical community to ensure that the proper technical experts reviewed each LTD product for quality and accuracy.

  4. Collects, scans, and archives completed LTD products for future reference and product history.

  5. Conducts comment incorporation verification on LTD products to ensure that the prime contractor properly incorporated NAVSEA input into the final product prior to issuance to the fleet.

  6. Provides technical support at the Submarine organizational level in Supply Support, 3M, and processes associated with submarine support.

  7. Manages Technical Data for CLB Class projects and programs assigned to NAVSEA, Planning Yard, and Fleet activities.

  8. Reviews and analyzes proposed projects and programs for impact on logistics elements and LTD deficiencies.

  9. Creates and processes official Navy letters to the prime contractor and other activities providing direction for the disposition of LTD products and other issues.

  10. Manages configuration data for CLB CL Class LTD.

  11. The individual integrates with all Platform Integration Teams to ensure sustainability aspects are in place for the life cycle.

  12. Individual will participate in design reviews as required at the system and component level with the shipbuilder.

  13. Access to UNNPI and NOFORM Work Stations

Other duties as assigned including but not limited to the development and oral delivery of briefings for senior NAVSEA and industry leadership.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field. Two years of job related experience may be substituted for each year of college.

Position requires a SECRET-level Security Clearance.

Work Experience: Seven (7) years job-related experience working within a DoD Program Office or Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Office.

Special Skills: Organizational skills, technical management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and be customer-oriented. Able to clearly communicate ideas to others verbally and in writing. Versed in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Ability to understand and succinctly summarize, communicate, and document technical issues.

  2. Knowledge of LTD Support infrastructure

  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products at the intermediate level, Type 40 wpm, prepare integrated spreadsheets using Excel, and develop detailed Power Point presentations.

  4. Knowledge of NAVY shipboard and submarine systems, and DOD acquisition programs.

  5. Knowledge of Maintenance, Supply, TMCR’s, LTD Procedures, and Logistics standards such as Submarine Maintenance Manuals, JFMM, 3M Processes, OPNAV4700.7L, PAFO’s, FMR, and other operational documents as required developing and executing maintenance.
