Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an 1 Ton Truck Crew Foreman to be based in our Wainwright and Lloydminster, AB locations.

This position will act as a working supervisor, provide coordination and supervision to the assigned crew.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Implement company’s Safety Management System in all activities

  • Ensure that safety is the #1 priority in all activities

  • Obtain all permits, conduct pre-job meetings and ensure that task hazard assessments are performed for all tasks

  • Perform vehicle/equipment audits, inspect 3rd party equipment and perform regular site inspections

  • Report all incidents and/or job concerns to the field coordinator immediately

  • Demonstrate leadership by participating fully in such things as job observations and High-intensity discharge (HID) reporting and follow-up, monthly attests, site inspections, incident investigations, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings

  • Work closely with Dispatch to plan, organize, direct and control of all activities related to the site management of company and sub-contract personnel

  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards

  • Communicate and document work progress, schedule, budget variance and employee safety performance

  • Liaise with the client to proactively address scope changes and/or concerns with quality of work

  • Act as a coach/mentor to employees for technical and/or resource utilization

  • Ensure that all employees and sub-contractors have the required training for the work being performed

  • Ensure that all work procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) are current and are utilize.

  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner (work tickets, detailed job and cost reports, efficiency loss reports, change orders, etc.)

  • Perform a final inspection with the client representative before rigging out from the work site

  • Ensure that a post job cleanup is done and that all rental equipment is returned as soon as the job is completed

Shift is 5 days on 2 days off. Local job opportunity - no LOA/Sub provided.

This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience as a tradesman or lead hand in an industrial, maintenance or pipeline work environment is required

  • Supervised or lead crew at site

  • A valid Class 1 or Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are requirements of this position

  • Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification or PST (Petroleum Safety Training) required

  • H2S Alive Certification

  • First Aid - Standard Level Certification

  • A comprehensive knowledge of industry safe work standards and quality control is essential

Preferred Qualifications

  • A post secondary diploma or degree from an accredited college, university or technical school, or journeyman certification in a relevant trade, or a Class 1A or 3A license would be considered an asset

  • Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point) is an asset

  • The ideal candidate will display sound planning, management, supervisory, communication, organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills, and the ability to lead and train others in a dynamic business environment

  • Pipeline and Facility Construction expereince is an asset

  • 5+ years of oilfield experience is preferred
