AECOM Netherlands is currently hiring a Project Manager to join exciting architectural and fit-out construction projects for various clients.
Within this role you are responsible for the overall project management and act as a client representative while coordinating and supervising the general contractor's work. You monitor programmes of the general contractor and other tenant's fit-out works.
Key duties include:
Quality control, inspections, corrective actions.
Administration of quality records, certificates, Construction Diary, etc.
Monitor and manage the samples, Mock-up process coordination, Testing
On/off Site inspections, witnessing the tests.
Regular daily correspondence, support on all technical details in claims and change orders.
Safety and quality monitoring, corrective actions.
Manage take overs & hand overs.
Commissioning, Snagging lists – corrective actions.
Ensuring safety of the site with support of the Safety Manager.
Degree in or related to Construction, Architecture, Building, or Civil Engineering and ideally registered engineer/Chartered or at least with qualifications leading to this.
Minimal 10 years of working experience within the building services industry
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Excellent technical understanding of building services for different sectors along with a good overview of the other specialist disciplines associated with building services.
Relevant experience in engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles
Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients.
Able to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.
Significant track record of leading design teams.
Experience in project management within a defined fee budget and program.
Knowledge and experience of the local market and developing new environments.
Experience to take the lead on projects and be the main contact for the client / project team to assist in work winning, client relations, technical control and enhancing AECOM’s reputation in the sector.

The individual will need to be a strong communicator and be technically competent to show clients and partners technical prowess, different procurement routes and innovative solutions to challenges in order to drive projects forward and bring value.
