AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Drainage Engineer for immediate employment in the Tampa, FL office.
The qualified applicant will have opportunities to work on roadway projects for FDOT, counties, municipalities and other transportation agencies. Our drainage team invites you to join us in designing exciting and challenging projects, working with both public and private clients on Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects. You will work on a wide range of projects, from small sidewalk projects for local municipalities to major interchange reconstruction on limited access facilities, and everything in between. The successful candidate can look forward to a working on a wide range of projects from small sidewalk projects for local municipalities to major interchange reconstruction on limited access facilities. Examples include sidewalks, flooding retrofits, RRR, widening, reconstruction, new construction, arterials, interstates, managed lanes, and toll facilities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Drainage Design and Production
Performs as the engineer of record for drainage design/production
Provides mentoring, guidance, and technical oversight of junior staff
Performs field reviews
Supports environmental permitting efforts
Coordinates with clients, agencies, and other parties
Provides QA/QC, peer reviews, and value engineering reviews
Provides post-design support during construction
Prepares written and presentoral proposals
Participates in client meetings, interviews, and oral presentations
Participates in project pursuits with the manager and other design
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate equivalent
5+ years of engineering experience in civil highway drainage/hydraulic/stormwater design with an increasing level of responsibility
State of Florida Professional Engineer license
Drainage design experience with engineering and drainage modeling software used by DOT and municipalities in the State of Florida
Must possess valid Driver's License
8+ years of engineering experience in civil highway drainage/hydraulic/stormwater design with an increasing level of responsibility
Experience in business development, including written and oral proposals
Experience with 3-D applications of Microstation
Basic familiarity with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D
