Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of consulting engineering experience
Relevant experience in Electrical design and the preparation of design and construction documents
Competent in all conventional aspects of Electrical engineering and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard Electrical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
Knowledge of and experience with Department of Defense requirements including Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)
Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems
Strong technical knowledge and ability to serve in the role as a Project Manager responsible for a multi-disciplinary team in the development of comprehensive, coordinated construction documents for small to large diverse and complex projects
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel, potentially 15%-20% of the time
Knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AGI, SKM, MS Office and AutoCAD)
Interpret and implement client standards into code complainant designs
Survey and evaluate existing conditions in order to formulate a fully coordinated scope of work within your code compliant electrical designs
Knowledge of low voltage, medium voltage, lighting, lightning protection, fire alarm and grounding design
Registered Professional Engineer in Florida or ability to obtain by reciprocity within 3 months of hire
Project management experience
Experience in Federal, industrial, aviation, facilities, high rise, wastewater or attractions design
Experience in medium voltage design
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
