AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Document Controls Specialist for immediate employment in ourTampa, Florida office. This is a part-time position.

As part of our airport/aviation project team you will be supporting with several ongoing aviation projects throughout Florida.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Budget/Contractual/Invoicing preparation support and documentation management for AECOM and Clients

  • Works directly with client to meet various needs within the document control group

  • Understanding and processing of Planning, Engineering, Design and Construction Documentation

  • Updates schedules and maintains and creates spreadsheets to better facilitate management of various engineering documents

  • Manages documents at base level, including metadata updates, relocation and addition of document revisions within the client's system

  • Assists in the review and development of existing organizational standards to better streamline all processes

  • Program management support services to AECOM Program/Project Managers

  • Non-technical review functions

  • Provides staff extension support with services

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • 3+ years of experience in document control for planning, engineering and/or construction projects

  • Understanding of various Planning, Engineering, Design and Construction Documentation including reports, drawings, specifications, shop drawings, pay applications, RFI's etc.

  • Strong computer skills, including experience with various database programs (SharePoint/Office365), Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel) and related technical software

  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in construction management or engineering technology

  • 5+ years of experience in document control for engineering and/or construction projects
