AECOM Decommissioning Engineer in Taipei, Taiwan

Job Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a smart graduate with 2 years’ plus experience to join the new and growing team in Japan/Taiwan. This will suit an applicant early in their career who is looking to gain international experience in addition to building a commercial nuclear skill set within AECOM.

The objective of this role is to work with Taipower to develop their decommissioning planning documentation to include: waste inventories, location/design of waste facilities, facility modifications to support decommissioning and provide ideas and high-level concepts for handling their spent fuel.

The successful candidate will take on a client facing role team linking Taipower to the wider AECOM commercial nuclear and waste expertise in the US and the UK. This person will benefit from working in team of 3 who offer a strong and diverse skill set within the nuclear sector

Minimum Requirements

  • Nuclear decommissioning experience (Preferred to be commercial nuclear but not required)

  • Nuclear Waste experience preferred especially in waste minimisation and packaging.

  • 2 years nuclear decommissioning or nuclear waste experience

  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred to have commercial Reactor decommissioning and specifically BWR experience

  • Chinese (mandarin) language preferred but optional

Important Note:

You will be an integrated part of the onsite decommissioning team and will therefore be living in / outside of Taipei – in commutable distance to the Chinshan site.
