AECOM Decommissioning Engineer in Taipei, Taiwan

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a smart graduate with 2 years’ plus experience to join the new and growing team in Japan/Taiwan. This will suit an applicant early in their career who is looking to gain international experience in addition to building a commercial nuclear skill set within AECOM.
The objective of this role is to work with Taipower to develop their decommissioning planning documentation to include: waste inventories, location/design of waste facilities, facility modifications to support decommissioning and provide ideas and high-level concepts for handling their spent fuel.
The successful candidate will take on a client facing role team linking Taipower to the wider AECOM commercial nuclear and waste expertise in the US and the UK. This person will benefit from working in team of 3 who offer a strong and diverse skill set within the nuclear sector
Nuclear decommissioning experience (Preferred to be commercial nuclear but not required)
Nuclear Waste experience preferred especially in waste minimisation and packaging.
2 years nuclear decommissioning or nuclear waste experience
Fluent in English
Preferred to have commercial Reactor decommissioning and specifically BWR experience
Chinese (mandarin) language preferred but optional
You will be an integrated part of the onsite decommissioning team and will therefore be living in / outside of Taipei – in commutable distance to the Chinshan site.
