Position Title Civil Site Inspector (Port Project)(Contract), Philippines

Job Summary

The Site Inspector will be responsible for monitoring all the earthworks and pavement aspects of the project. He will be involved in both inspection and the supervision of structural works on the project.

Responsibilities:

  1. Familiar with the project’s contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, together with any associated updates.

  2. Ensure the contractor(s) compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents through observation, measurements, and testing.

  3. Ensure that contractor is managing its’ resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site

  4. Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required and instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).

  5. Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor.

  6. Maintain records of the manpower and equipment daily resources, including documentations, in the areas assigned to the inspector, the contractor’s personnel and equipment, reason for activities, and means and methods utilized, in addition to the report on materials delivery.

  7. Follow up and implement any sire instructions made by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).

  8. Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures on the site

  9. Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE). Coordinate and cooperate with Client Project Manager during the site inspections in the presence of the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).

  10. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties that may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 9 years relevant working experience in ciivl works site management.

  • Preferably with cost management/ QS experience

  • Degree in Civil Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of construction laws and regulations

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player

  • Organized and able to handle stress

  • Computer literacy
