Job Summary

The Project Cost Controller is an integral member of the Operations team working autonomously in the Sydney office and will liaise with the Project Finance Lead, NAC CI Operations Manager, Team Leaders and Project managers and is responsible for the preparation of financial information relating to the projects within the Sydney Office portfolio. This includes maintaining the project management, timesheet management and financial systems to accurately report project revenue recognition and meet financial reporting requirements for both internal project management and client reporting. The Project Cost Controller also produces accurate and timely information to assist Project Managers in controlling costs on the project as well as producing formal financial reports in accordance with required timelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Appropriate qualification

  • Four years’ experience in Project Accounting, Project Controls or as an Assistant Project Manager

  • Demonstrates experience in specific functions namely project management, commercial acumen, cost control and project planning.

  • WBS structuring – interprets the contractual scope of work, organisational and execution plan requirements. Develops a logical sub-division of work and coding structure to support project estimating, planning/scheduling and cost control

  • Establish and maintain project budgets and estimates

  • Forecasting skills – identifies, captures, validates and delivers project controls data to support project and/or business unit requirements.

  • Competent in systems: Project Management tools, MS office suite,

  • Knowledge of the market for consulting services
