Our Environment team helps private and public sector clients in Sydney, Australia and around the world deliver for their stakeholders while achieving compliance, promoting resilience and mitigating impacts and risks to our communities and natural environment.

We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced and motivated Environmental Planners, Scientists or Practitioners across a range of disciplines to work on an exciting upcoming project. The position will be based in Central West NSW for an initial fixed term contract where you will help deliver a program of work as part of an alliance team.

Your responsibilities will include managing delivery of environmental impact assessments, Construction Environment Management Plans (CEMPs) and supporting studies, managing environmental resources for the alliance as well as providing general environmental advice to the alliance leadership team.

Using your excellent environmental impact assessment and management experience and communication skills, you will build positive relationships with the alliance team and stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation. In addition, this role will see you working closely with scientists and engineers of varying disciplines, drafters and project administrators as well subcontractors. You will be actively involved in engaging subcontractors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science town/urban/environmental planning, engineering

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience preferably in a consultancy environment.

  • Experience working as part of an alliance delivery team will be highly valued

  • Experience working on linear infrastructure projects

  • Experience working on NSW and Commonwealth Projects (preferred)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience in commercial negotiation

  • Provide technical expertise to resolve project requirements and ensure maintenance of high technical standards

  • The ability to guide and mentor junior team members to support their development and help meet the alliance objectives.
