Position Title Technical Director Environmental Impact Assessment

Job Summary

The Technical Director will deliver and grow EIA consultancy and advisory services to both internal and external clients to a high level of technical quality, to programme and to budget.

Job Duties:

  • Identification of EIA tender opportunities,

  • Preparation and submission of EIA tenders,

  • Technical direction and management of the delivery of EIAs to a high level of technical quality, to programme and to budget,

  • Coordination and management of projects resources and activities in accordance with the Project Execution Plan to ensure timely delivery.

  • Work closely with our clients’ team and demonstrate strong behavioural competencies with respect to client care, collaborative working, responsibility and independent decision making.

  • Raise the Nordic profile of AECOM, in terms of EIA, through presentations, publications of papers, etcetera,

  • Production of project portfolio specific technical and financial reports;

  • Provide leadership in health, safety, environment and quality,

  • Identify and secure appropriate training needs for EIA staff development,

  • Interface directly with other team members, and with other internal teams from various disciplines and contractors;

  • You will have strong development skills and the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance and teaching to others, particularly junior staff, if and when required;

  • Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team, to ensure work packages are delivered on time and within budget;

  • Establishing strong working relationships and ensuring regular liaison with other internal teams;

  • Be aware of and understand the AECOM Project Management procedures, their importance and their application to projects, including monthly progress and budget reviews of projects.

Specific Skills Required:

  • Fluent in Swedish and English,

  • Full Swedish / European Driving License;

Minimum Requirements

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven track record in technical leadership of EIA teams and management of EIAs for civils and infrastructure projects as well as other sectors.

  • Proven track record in work winning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant post graduate qualification such as an MSc in Environmental Sciences.

  • Registered with Trafikverket
