AECOM is actively seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to be located in the Stevens Point, Wisconsin office. The Civil Engineer will join our expanding Water Group. This position may include client management with municipal contracts. Projects including water system master plans, hydraulic distribution system modeling, water audits, water quality studies, disinfection, water supply sustainability, water systems design (water treatment plants, pump stations, etc.), energy evaluations, water main replacement analysis, water vulnerability and emergency response, and Safe Drinking Water Program audits.
Assignments will include various studies and designs associated with public drinking water systems. Project management responsibilities include project financial management, proposal preparation, managing project team members and ensuring that products are delivered on time, within agreed upon budgets and to the client’s satisfaction. This person will be responsible for quality control standard compliance and to ensure that project staff follow corporate safety guidelines. This person will manage several projects at any one time and will have project teams consisting of one to several staff. Project team members will include technical specialists that address the technical needs of the projects.
Manages one or more moderately complex project, involving a combination of the following:
Clients with a regional geographic footprint; OR,
Projects involving multiple services provided by regional IE offices; OR,
Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
May manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
Works independently but receives basic instruction on assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
May supervise: senior level engineers (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives.
Bachelor's' Degree in Engineering
4+ years of experience in civil engineering
Previous water system master planning experience
Experience with developing proposals, schedules, and budgets
Interest in marketing, presentations and client interaction
Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required
Masters' Degree preferred
Professional Engineer - Wisconsin
5+ years of civil engineering experience in master planning water systems
Previous pressure pipe hydraulic modeling experience
