Job Summary

Aecom are currently recruiting for a Associate Mechanical Director to join the London office of the Building Services team. Working on offices, residential, data centres, UK University Buildings, Arts, as well as international projects.

The Associate Mechanical Engineer will effectively control all aspects of simultaneous projects from a commercial, managerial and technical aspect. Act as the key Client liaison across simultaneous projects. Act as a mechanical engineering technical lead; Undertake project reviews and checking in accordance with QA procedures. Define Mechanical Engineering strategies and undertake feasibility works across numerous project types. Undertake line manager responsibility for a mechanical engineering team. Prepare fee proposals for submission to clients, including resources and program.

About the office:

Situated in our brand new office space in Aldgate Tower the offices spans 3 floors of brand new, state of the art commercial space (which Aecom undertook the designs for, naturally). We house over 900 staff in our Aldgate Tower office across multiple business units including; Buildings & Places, Transport, Bridges, Civil and Infrastructure and Resources & Industry.

About the team:

Our building services team consists of 400 people nationwide. The mechanical and electrical engineers we have in our team specialise in healthcare, education, sports, and leisure. We are market leaders on large international projects, as well as working closely with the local community.

Minimum Requirements

You would ideally be a Chartered Engineer or close to obtaining your Chartered status with extensive experience in the Building Services Consultancy industry. You should able to demonstrate a full lifecycle experience across a range of projects, including new-build and refurbishment work. Particular experience in Healthcare desirable. Ability to deliver design solutions, lead teams and successfully manage projects. A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
