Job Summary

The Assistant Engineer - will support major design and construction projects including performing mechanical engineering analysis and design, establishing project design requirements, design criteria, and estimating assumptions, supporting construction and commissioning efforts. They will also administer document control systems in support of project administrative and operational activities. The role will require a professional approach to interfacing with clients, customers, consultants, and construction firms.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the preparation of mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects.

  • Responsible for the participation in the progress and coordination meetings of the design projects and the preparation of the meeting records.

  • Prepares complex design computations in quantity estimates. May serve as an on-site project representative.

  • Make preliminary selections and adaptions of engineering alternatives.

  • Preparing technical proposals and reports

  • Preparing the monthly document control reports such as Registers/logs of Critical / Non-Critical Documents, GFC Drawings, Shop Drawings, RFI,NCR, CAR (Corrective Action Request ) etc. for the submission of monthly progress report to the client

  • Keeping all periodical records / registers as required under the provisions of various laws.

  • Issuing Documents as per their status and requirement through the Engineering Transmittals generated to the Client, Contractor, Project Departments and Design Team.

  • Keeping track with the design team, contractor and other project departments for latest Documents and Drawings & issuing the latest revisions of those.

  • Handling and maintaining all types of incoming & outgoing correspondences & transmittals.

Minimum Requirements

  • You will have the desire to develop an engineering ability within a specialist services team. Be conscientious, motivated and ambitious with an aspiration to develop these skills and advance your career.

  • Experience in design and delivery of large-scale building projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A-Levels including Maths or Science
