Job Summary

AECOM has an opportunity for an

Quality Engineer at our Springfield, VA location. The selected candidate establishes and acts upon trend analysis and other metrics to improve business unit, quality systems and to ensure contractual regulatory compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs quality system process audits as assigned.

  • Analyzes existing processes and initiates process improvements using ISO 9001 quality standards. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

  • Performs quality system audits includes audit preparation, conducting audits, writing audit reports, and audit follow-up.

  • Effectively executes and/or follows-up on CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) Quality System non-conformance or improvements.

  • Verifies closure of corrective actions and preventive actions from audits.

  • Determines statistical sampling of documents and records to be reviewed during audits.

  • Prepares audit trend reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or demonstrated equivalent.

  • 2+ years of experience in area of specialization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI w/poly is preferred.

  • Preparation for auditor certificate or equivalent desired.
