AECOM has an excellent opportunity for a Facilities Construction Project Manager
at our Springfield, VA location.
The selected candidate will perform routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles to manage various renovation and infrastructure upgrade projects.
Manage construction project execution of various levels of complexity.
Ensure subcontractor performance meets contract, safety and security requirements
Perform market research required to create project proposal for client review.
Develop project schedules
Manage project execution to ensure budget and schedule compliance.
Independently complete site-walks to ensure conformance with specifications and design.
Facilitate start-up and construction activities.
Review and analyze production reports.
Review and analyze cost reports.
Review and analyze schedule progress.
Requisition and track status of required materials through all stages of procurement cycle.
Responsible for obtaining approval and documentation of field and design modifications.
Ensure daily redlines are accomplished as appropriate.
Prepare miscellaneous reports for project management providing needed information for submittals.
Ensure receipt of all necessary project close out documentation and ensure proper updates of CMMS system records and maintenance libraries are accomplished.
Review subcontractor invoices and ensure timely payment.
Perform all other position-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or demonstrated combination of education/experience and five (5) years’ work related experience is required.
Must possess good communication (oral and written) and analytical skills.
Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction industry.
Must have general knowledge of standard project management tools and responsibilities.
Must have demonstrated working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs, to include CMMS, MS Project, and CADD.
Must be highly skilled in the use of Microsoft - Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
Valid driver's license is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
