AECOM has an opportunity for a
Carpenter at our program in Springfield, VA. The Carpenter performs carpentry duties necessary to maintain building structures and finishes in good repair. Work includes reading blueprints and performing job take-offs. Coordinates with other trades as necessary to ensure seamless job performance. Lays out and supervises the installation of new walls, flooring, ceiling tiles, systems furniture, doors and associated hardware. Performs drywall patching and painting. Provides status updates as necessary to supervisors. Must be able to operate a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments necessary to make shop computations related to dimensions of work determining materials necessary to complete assigned tasks. Creates PR’s to assist in the ordering of materials. Responsible for red line updates and assists PM in project close-outs. Assists other trades as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Minimum of ten (10) years of carpentry experience required.
Ability to lift up to 45lbs
- Actively, fully adjudicated TS/SCI w/poly is preferred.
