Job Summary

AECOM is seekding a Finance Manager to be based in our Seattle, WA location.

Typical Responsibilities:

Under general direction, assists in the management and supervision of the finance function.

  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the company and its organizational structure and philosophy.

  • Demonstrates the proven capability to work with departments, groups, subsidiaries, and projects to resolve issues related to project financing, financial analysis, and cash management; advise executive and middle management on finance policies and issues; and to manage people through excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Develops and implements a cash management system and financial analysis procedures for the corporation.

  • Performs advanced duties requiring extensive and diversified experience.

  • Delegates, supervises, and evaluates staff work assignments.

  • Assists in the development, implementation, direction, and coordination of policies and programs consistent with company philosophy and objectives.

  • Oversees the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.

  • Possesses thorough job knowledge and is fully accountable.

  • Prepares and analyzes annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Responsible for preparation and review of project account reconciliations as appropriate.

  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly financial reporting including cash management activities.

  • Responsible for all accounts payable and receivable functions.

Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance,business administration, accounting, or a related field or demonstrated equivalent.


  • 8 years of experience in the management and reporting of financial systems, including reconciliation and reporting

  • Three (3) years’ experience in the development and implementation of financial management systems, reporting and internal controls of a scope similar to the Work on this Project

  • Capable of ensuring the proper design and implementation of all financial aspects of Operations in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • Computer proficient in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or MBA preferred

  • Project accounting experience, including invoice preparation and customer billing

  • Previous experience in managing/supervising multiple departments and/or people

  • Working Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite version 12 financial software
