AECOM Mechanical Manager in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Mechanical Manager with strong leadership skills that is focused on growing the engineering team, and providing mentorship to staff across a multi-disciplined engineering group to be based in Saskatoon, SK.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performs various leadership, management, and people accountability responsibilities for a multi-disciplined group.

  • Has strong business development skills and focused on growing clients and a portfolio of work.

  • Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.

  • Requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering skills related to buildings.

  • Advises the team on how to plan and execute unique or controversial engineering tasks.

  • Is a strong collaborator within the organization amongst the various offices with Buildings + Places business line as well as AECOM’s internal business lines such as Transportation, Water, and Environment.

  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience.

  • Works closely with the operations manger with respect to resourcing, business development, staff development and project delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering from a recognized institution.

  • Professional Engineering registration required.

  • Minimum of 8 (eight) years experience managing an engineering group.

  • Strong leadership, business development and people management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A project background within commercial, municipal and industrial market sectors.
