AECOM Architectural Technologist in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Architectural Technologist to be based in Saskatoon, SK.

Job Summary:

  • Work on design and drawing production for municipal, commercial and industrial projects;

  • Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports;

  • Prepare and coordinate 2D drafting and 3D modelling assignments with project managers, architects, engineers and other technologists from initial project stage through to project completion;

  • Work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to produce construction documents;

  • Coordinate 2D drawings and 3D models with other disciplines, construction specifications, vendor drawings, and other construction documents;

  • Work proficiently in AutoCAD and Revit;

  • Follow group practices and prescribed project standards;

  • Ensure that project needs are met in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements

  • Architectural Technology Diploma or related post-secondary program + 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong graphic, written and verbal communication skills

  • Confidence working with tight deadlines and under pressure

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills

  • Proficient knowledge of construction specifications and contract administration

  • Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada and other codes/regulations in North America

  • Open to new experiences and learning new skills

  • Desire to progress towards an A.Sc.T. status

  • Self-motivated with versatility and initiative

  • Positive, energetic, and helpful attitude

  • Proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory

  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal communication skills is mandatory
