Position Title Project Manager

AECOM is actively seeking a highly-motivated Project Manager to lead a team of engineering and environmental professionals who support oil field operations and compliance programs for major oil companies along the California Central Coast. Because our clients bring a wide variety of problems to our professional team, the successful candidate should have a problem-solving background with experience in civil and mechanical design, construction management, procurement and resource management.
Interface with oil and gas clientele working to develop projects supporting oil field operations/OM&M/construction and demolition projects
Provide senior technical engineering resource for oil and gas clientele, providing civil (and mechanical) support to design/construction projects
Demonstrated capability in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams (i.e., civil, geotechnical and mechanical disciplines)
Demonstrated capability in taking a project from concept to detailed design to construction and operation
Serve as the point of contact and project manager for engineering-related projects for oil and gas clients along the Central Coast
Solid understanding of environmental regulations and permitting requirements and how they influence operation of onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities
Be a team member and establish strong relationships with diverse teams within AECOM
Understand and be able to interface/coordinate and manage the wide variety of AECOM services
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience
California Registered PE
Experience in onshore oil field operations/facility management/construction and decommissioning
Experience in offshore oil field operations/rig management/operation and maintenance (OM&M)
Management of civil/mechanical projects within the oil field (either onshore or offshore or both)
Design, construction and OM&M of water treatment facilities
Demonstrated experience with oil field operations and regulatory compliance is required with onshore operational (upstream) experience along the Central Coast and/or Kern County
Prior experience with a wide range of projects including those involving grading and earthworks, water supply, storm water management, and solid waste handling, industrial wastewater treatment design, and processing plant design and construction A clear understanding of both the State of California and Federal environmental regulations and compliance is essential, both for onshore and offshore operations
Valid drivers license required
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship required
Master's Degree preferred
Background with offshore operations in the Santa Barbara Channel preferred
Understanding and experience with offshore platform decommissioning
