Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Deputy Project Manager for immediate employment for the Santa Barbara, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Perform Deputy Project Management tasks

  • Lead project tasks and delegate work to project team

  • Prepare and review technical work plans and reports

  • Assist in leading the project team and subcontractors in accordance with the Client’s Safety Program

  • Interact with the Client and regulators

  • Assist with client program requirements and metrics

  • Lead project process improvements and ensure compliance with quality, H&S, and client process and program requirements

  • Develop scope, schedule, and budget for project and tasks

  • Invoice and budget review and scope tracking

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, hydrogeology, or engineering

  • 5+ years' experience

  • Experience with large petroleum remediation projects

  • Self-motivated

  • Effective communicator

  • Superior technical report writing skills

  • Team player

  • Detail-oriented

  • Behavior-based safety skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification

  • Experience in interacting with the California Regional Water Quality Control Board

  • Knowledge of ORACLE-based or similar platform and Microsoft Office programs
