Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, highly-skilled Senior Architectural Project Manager – Justice Facilities – for immediate employment for the San Francisco, CA office, someone with the management and leadership skills to lead teams and serve our clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Marketing and business development, including visits to prospective clients, proposal development, and interviews

  • Day to day communication, coordination, and management of the client's project team

  • Development of project work plans with fee and hour breakdowns for each phase and service discipline

  • Team set up / selection and overall management of project staff (internal disciplines as well as “outside” consultants)

  • Financial management of client’s project budget as well as AECOM’s project fee / hour budget

  • Project program development and documentation

  • Coordination and assistance in development of schematic design, design development, and construction documentation for all disciplines (including document reviews), and overall leadership of AECOM’s quality control program (for projects under their management)

  • Coordination of the issuance of construction documents to General Contractors / Construction Managers and follow up coordination Construction Administration services (including submittals, progress reviews, site observation duties, and project close out)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years experience in the design of Justice Facilities – especially detention facilities in California

  • Experience in planning and design of other justice facilities, including law enforcement and courthouses

  • Experience in overall client and project management including program development, proposal / fee development, design management, project documentation management, and construction administration management

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years' experience preferred

  • Knowledge and experience using Revit, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
