AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Estimator for immediate employment in San Francisco, CA. This position is working with a large Utility provider, to provide estimating services for repairs to fire damaged utilities in their geographic territory. This is a multi-year construction program offering significant career growth to the right candidate.
The Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial needs. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives. Our professionals serve as an extension of our clients' staff, protecting their interests as our own, and often working within our clients' offices. As an industry leader in PM/CM, we oversee activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Solves routine problems following established policies and procedures under supervision
Gathers and compiles data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates
Maintains current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact, written materials, sales brochures, and prices lists
Reviews change requests and proposals for coordination with various construction trades
Participates with inspection and quality assurance staff to determine compliance with contract requirements
Produces budgets from conceptual plans and specifications
Developing client relationships and establishing trust through quality work product development and delivery
Negotiate final change order settlements with the appropriate parties
Manage and understand stakeholder involvement and/or expectation in the cost development of changes, budgets, etc.
High School Diploma
8+ years of estimating experience
Understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles
Ability to produce budgets from conceptual plans and specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field
