Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Power Production Program Manager in San Antonio, Texas.

Job Description:

Provides assistance and advice specifically related to the duties and responsibilities of Prime Power Production Specialists and may be required to perform electrical assessments, related facility maintenance and quality assurance/quality control operations associated with the installation of generator power. He or she may be required to supervise, operate, install and performs direct support/general support-level maintenance on electric power plants and generators consisting of prime power generator sets of 10KW and higher along with associated auxiliary systems and equipment.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical, electrical and instrumentation functions

  • Analyze equipment and system operating characteristics to determine operational condition

  • Repair or overhaul generating equipment and associated systems components

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Logistics or related field + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience must demonstrate prior Department of Defense experience in this skill area, preferably with experience working with US Army organizations such as the 249th Engineer Battalion.Must be able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English

  • Knowledge of: Principles of electronics and electricity, including generation, conversion, transformation, distribution, and utilization; types, capacity, and purpose of medium voltage circuits, circuit breakers, switches, fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with electric generation and medium voltage distribution; interpreting instrument and meter readings; wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical publications; techniques of operating and maintaining internal combustion engines, Generators, generating plants, distribution panels, and accessory equipment; use and purpose of test equipment; safety rules and practices; environmental policies; principles of management; and operation and repair of electrical power production systems.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required.

  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications are required.

  • Employment may require temporary duty outside of the US in US territories and military bases located in different countries
