Job Summary

The San Antonio- Asset Management team is currently seeking a talented Civil or Environmental Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical Engineers will also be considered based on experience and/or interest) to perform multiple project tasks (both office and field.) Water and Wastewater systems focus is desired, though adaptability and a desire to learn are key attributes of the successful candidate, and you will be expected to perform tasks in support of a variety of projects, from regulatory compliance investigations to infrastructure assessments to design. You'll perform project activities including document preparation, field work, data control, and evaluation. In this position, the successful candidate will work in a team environment with other staff on field projects and office assignments, and will serve as a team member for multifaceted projects. Other duties include administrative responsibilities, completing work load projections, attendance at training sessions and department meetings, and participation in long and short-term field assignments requiring domestic and international travel.

Our group’s main focus is Horizontal Infrastructure Asset Management (largely utilities). We perform asset inventories and condition assessments employing innovative field equipment and custom software applications on a GIS platform for data acquisition, management, analysis, and reporting. From that data we develop risk-prioritized capital improvements and O&M planning, as well as conceptual to full designs and cost estimates for recommended actions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree civil or environmental engineering,

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills.

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills, maintain professional candor at all times.

  • Must be analytical with attention to detail, able to multi-task, and be well organized.

  • Must be able to pass National Agency Background Check for admittance to DoD installations.

  • Must be willing to get OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

  • Must be willing to travel and able to perform extensive field survey work for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (ESRI ArcGIS)

  • Database management/CAD/GIS experience

  • Familiarity with open and/or closed pipe hydraulic modeling programs

  • NASSCO certifications (PACP, MACP,LACP
