The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the preparation of various aviation studies
Preparing aviation planning related technical drawings
Preparing presentation drawings and visual aids
Project records organization
Marketing research and materials development
The ideal candidate will also be expected to have a basic understanding of location/regional transportation planning processes. May work on airport master plans, airport layout plans and associated drawings, feasibility studies, geometry studies, land use planning studies, airspace analysis, and public involvement and outreach activities.
Currently in pursuit of Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Community Planning, Marketing or related field
Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Orders, guidelines and regulations
General familiarity with developing Airport Master Plans and the Master Plan process
Good written and communication skills
Analytical skills and ability to work collaborative in a fast-paced team environment
Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and deadlines
Related experience, projects or classwork
AutoCAD and GIS software experience
USDOT pilot certificate or flight experience
A university student with no more than one academic year remaining before earning a degree preferred, these students are typically seniors in university. Contingent upon a positive performance review, a successful intern may receive an offer of full-time employment.
