AECOM Senior Technical Editor in Sacramento, California

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented technical editor for immediate employment in Sacramento, California. This person will be responsible for editing (and some formatting) to technical documents from a variety of disciplines, including environmental impact reports, feasibility studies, O&M reports, proposals, the occasional internal document, and other documents as needed. This position involves primarily editing for grammar, correctness, and perhaps organization; the formatting of text is more incidental than typical for the editor.

Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent of experience and/or education
Have an excellent understanding of English grammar and usage
Familiar with Chicago and/or AP style manuals.
Good MS Word and PowerPoint skills; comfortable with Excel. You can work with Styles, even if you are not an expert at formatting.
Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally as needed
BA/BS Degree in English, Communication, Journalism, or a related field
Past supervisory experience a plus.
Eight or more years of experience preferred.
Familiar with Adobe Acrobat (especially accessibility functionality) and the basic functions of InDesign (especially the text editing features).
Knowledge of CEQA and NEPA helpful.
