Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Estimator for immediate employment for the Sacramento, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Works on a variety of tasks of moderate scope and complexity.

  • Works under very general supervision.

  • Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy.

  • Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates.

  • Maintains current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact, written materials, sales brochures, prices lists.

  • Reviews change requests and proposals for coordination with various construction trades.

  • Participates in constructability reviews.

  • Produces budgets from conceptual plans and specifications.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 8+ years' experience

  • Understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, Requests-for Proposals and contracts

  • Ability to produce budgets from conceptual plans and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with estimating commercial and institutional structures and associated infrastructure.

  • Experience with Blue Beam.

  • Ability to provide constructability review.

  • Previous participation in VE workshops desirable.

  • Relevant professional accreditation in Cost Management area (MRICS, ASPE, AACE etc) desired.
