The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Setups and maintains multiple models for production in the Autodesk REVIT software
Coordinates and incorporates current BIM model standards with Client BIM standards and requirements
Manages models ensuring BIM models remain free from errors, maintain and prepare BIM Standards, prepare cost estimates, and assist in optimization of REVIT workflows
Development of electrical power and distribution design concepts with architects, engineers and owners; Design of lighting, fire alarm, communications systems, in building
Prepares contract documents, and prepares progress reports
Ensures design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
Travels to construction sites to conduct Electrical inspections and prepare reports
High School Diploma
2+ years of experience
Advanced knowledge of Autodesk REVIT MEP and AutoCad MEP
Displayed ability to execute complete, accurate and coordinated project design assignments on time and within budget. Understands overall project constraints including design budget limitations and schedule requirements.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines. Effective written and verbal communication skills a must.
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance within 3 months of employment
Post Graduate Coursework or Relevant Certification
Autodesk certification in REVIT and AutoCad software’s.
Familiarity with the National Electric Code
Electrical design experience in buildings and facilities engineering
Secret or Top Secret DoD clearance
Working knowledge of Electrical system analysis tools (E-TAP or SKM)
Working knowledge of lighting analysis tools (AGI, ElumTools)
Direct experience in Department of Defense, Health Care, and Government facilities
