Position Title Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Specialist

Job Summary


Typical Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

  • May be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift work.

  • Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.

  • Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility.

  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Specialist is responsible for understanding plant business processes as they pertain to operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining working relationships with all functional areas of the plant.

  • Responsible for the quality of asset data input in MAXIMO.

  • Responsible for the administration of workflow, including revision of existing, and development of new, to support business processes.

  • Development of Business Intelligence and Reporting Tool reports in support of plant management requirements.

  • Work with the database system administrator developing configuration changes, and assist in implementation, patches, upgrades, installations, problem solutions, MAXIMO security, and license management.

  • Work with end-users to resolve problems, address functional issues, and provide guidance in the use of MAXIMO.

  • Provide other work management support and other duties as directed

Minimum Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field and 5 years’ computerized maintenance management system administration experience


  • Associate degree in business or related field and 9 years’ computerized maintenance management system administration experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent and 13 years’ computerized maintenance management system administration experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) site access

  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment

  • Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any depot or BGCAPP drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement

  • Must have thorough knowledge of variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, production processes and engineering

  • Experience in performing equipment maintenance

  • Ability to train others on how to use computerized maintenance management system MAXIMO or equivalent expert level knowledge required (both front and backend aspects)

  • Strong understanding of International Business Machines Webspere Application Server

  • Demonstrative ability to write and analyze complex Structured Query Language queries

  • Skills in application designer, workflow development, database configuration, escalations, and conditional expressions

This position is designated as an unescorted access position and is subject to the requirements of the Unescorted Access Program (UAP). As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by the Blue Grass Army Depot Commander

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in initial implementation and setup of computerized maintenance management system using MAXIMO

  • Significant work control experience

  • MAXIMO Asset Management Engineer certification
