Responsible for developing work packages using WRPS Work Control Processes and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for corrective/preventive maintenance, modification, fabrication, select operational activities, expense-based project construction of tank farm structures/systems/components. Under minimal supervision, applies an extensive and diversified knowledge of Work Control Planner principles and practices in assignments and related work.- Analyzes planning processes for efficiency and makes recommendations to management.- When directed by management acts as a subject matter expert in areas of specialization such as asbestos planner.- Provides oversight to less senior members of the planning team for preparation of work orders and work activity schedules.- When directed by management, provides Work Order Review and Approval (WORA) system approval of other members of the planning staff.- Acts as a technical representative to management in area of specialization.- Conducts planning meetings and provides planning status to project schedules.- Provides analysis of planning areas of concern and provides recommendations to management for resolution.- Prepares, tracks, and controls work orders, required to accomplish assigned activities.- Oversight of miscellaneous planning when directed by management.- Reviews and analyzes work documents for proper classification, priority, and description.- Prepares work documents in accordance with work control processes.- With minimal input from field work supervisor, estimates, and establishes man hours, material, and manpower, needed for job completion.- Supports material requisition.- Develops work orders for low, medium and high risk/complexity jobs.- Provides guidance and mentoring to entry and mid-level incumbents.- Assists in the development of all levels of work orders for more junior planning staff.- Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and 8 years practical work experience in maintenance or related areas or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and preventive maintenance planning at tank farms or Category 2 Nuclear Facilities is required.
Maintenance or construction craft experience, or Field Work Supervision experience highly desirable
