Under minimal supervision, responsible for providing quality assurance/control engineering services in support of TOC activities.
-Competent in the principles and practice of Software Quality Assurance.
-Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
-Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.
-Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity and reviews complex projects, processes and evaluates results.
-Develops and applies advanced quality theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.
-Possesses and applies comprehensive QA knowledge to the completion of significant assignments.
-Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that products are designed, procured, and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
-Plan, schedule, and participate/lead QA program audits, surveillances and assessments in support of assessment and corrective action programs.
-Assist with the performance of effective Management/ Independent assessments. Implementation of appropriate surveillance and audit activities through participation in Project Readiness Reviews, Project Planning, and Project Schedule Forecasting meeting.
-Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures, and any related quality activity.
-Demonstrates understanding of the application of Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) and can review and approve safety basis documents.
-Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
-Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Science or related field and 10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers and management.
NQA-1 Auditing experience.
