AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager to be based in our Richland, WA location.
The Construction Management job family is responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities on a project site as delineated in the applicable procedures and Site Specific Safety Plan.
Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.
Implements the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities
Ensures timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.
Acts as the primary customer contact for all construction project field activities.
Ensures all construction is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.
Functions as a Project Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction management project.
Under minimal supervision, manages small to medium size projects or a major geographic area on a mega project.
Responsible to a member of the Project Managers job family or the Operations Manager job family.
Completed work is reviewed for desired results.
Establishes field objectives and procedures within company guidelines as necessitated by conditions at the job site.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Construction related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience.
8+ years construction and project related experience preferably with experience working on DOE sites.
Experience in writing Statements of Work
Possesses a thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, construction technologies and job site management.
Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Awareness of environmental compliance laws and requirements.
Awareness of government compliance standards.
Knowledge of safety programs and experience implementing safety programs in the field.
Familiarity with current industry quality standards.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Due to the nature of the position, candidate must be US Citizen.
