Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Job Cost Administrator to join our team at our NOVA, Red Deer Project. This is a temporary position covering maternity leave with a start date in early December, 2018.

This position is responsible to produce accurate and timely job cost data on an individual job or project basis.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate and timely job cost data on an individual job or project basis.

  • Accountable for job cost documentation including job set-up, budget, rate table, time, material, subcontract, change management, reporting and invoicing.

  • Producing accurate and timely job cost data on an individual job or project basis.

  • Work requires knowledge of specific accounting and clerical procedures.

  • Provide support on tasks related to producing accurate job setup, data entry of employee and equipment time.

  • Ensuring the accuracy of all job cost information.

  • Producing and analyzing required job cost reports.

  • Assist Project management in client reporting.

  • Invoicing as per customer requirements.

  • Providing support to administrative team.

  • May be in the field with timekeeping functions.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma.

  • Minimum 2 year of relevant work experience.

  • Able to follows well defined procedures and directions.

  • Able to work well with others.

  • Great communication skills and detail-oriented.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, especially with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in all phases of job set-up for a large industrial corporation, using a computerized information system, preferably Oracle.

  • Relevant post-secondary training in accounting and /or experience in all aspects of the accounting function is an asset, i.e., accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, time and equipment is preferred.

  • Knowledge in job costing and labour standards.

  • Advanced knowledge of general accounting practices.

  • Competent in job costing.

  • Proficiency in Oracle or related accounting system.
