AECOM Mid level Hydraulics Civil Engineer in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Mid-level Hydraulics Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Raleigh, NC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Project management

  • Hydrology and hydraulics design

  • Roadway channel design

  • Plans preparation

  • Supervises entry level hydraulic designers/engineers

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required

  • 5+ years of experience in hydraulic design

  • NC PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 6 months required

  • Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for roadway and bridge projects in North Carolina

  • North Carolina DOT experience required

  • Thorough understanding of NCDOT guidelines/ procedures/plan preparation

  • Experience with local municipalities, DOT's and approving agencies

  • Ability to scope/estimate complex hydraulics projects

  • Track and manage task budgets and schedules

  • Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction

  • Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role

  • MicroStation/Geopak experience.

  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Word, MicroStation, Geopak, or HY8 and other design software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Hydraulics and Hydrology
