AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Bridge Engineer for employment in the Downtown Portland, ME office. Candidate should have excellent engineering and communication skills, and a desire to contribute to our bridge design team. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer, responsibilities include:
Structural design and analysis of bridges of various ranges of complexity
Load rating of existing bridges
Preparing and checking design calculations for bridges and other transportation related structures
Drawing preparation, review and checking
Shop drawing review
Preparation of reports and specifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering or other related field
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Candidate should be detail oriented and should have strong skills in structural analysis, steel and concrete design; and the ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a willing desire to learn
Passed FE Exam, or able to obtain FE within 1 year of hire
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting software
