The AECOM Pittsburgh, PA office is recruiting for a Lead Environmental Scientist for project work in the Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia area.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the management of linear utility projects, and the development and submittal of State filings, permit applications and reporting (wetland delineation, environmental assessments), and coordination of project field efforts (wetlands, cultural, listed species)
Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope
Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology Science or related field
7-10 years of experience
Transmission Line Siting, State Filings, USACE related to Section 404/401 permitting, state wetland, waterbody permitting, and rare, threatened and endangered species consultation skills
Experience with and knowledge of the State Filing processes for PA, WV, and OH is required
Experience with USACE Nationwide and Individual Permits, state permits and local regulations.
All work would be performed along with a team of experienced environmental professionals
Position will require work outside the office for client/agency visits and may require overnight travel
Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
