Job Summary

The AECOM Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Group is looking for a project geologist / engineer to be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA Office.

The position will support field sampling and reporting for environmental projects for both Private and Federal sector clients. A successful candidate is able to write and convey thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. We seek a technically proficient individual with the ability to organize data in a clear fashion using basic tools (spreadsheets, graphs) and the desire to learn and apply new tools, models, and methods.

Minimum Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in the environmental remediation and/or environmental engineering field, preferably on hazardous waste sites.

  • A geology or engineering degree from an accredited university and a valid driver’s license is required; professional registration is preferred, however, ideal candidate will be working towards this goal.

  • Must be able to oversee and work productively with subcontractors while assuring work scopes and safety requirements are met. AECOM will provide 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training if candidate does not possess

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc) is a plus. All work must understand and follow project-specific safety protocols and will be expected to perform their duties in accordance with company policies & procedures

  • The selected individual must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and the position will include periodic overnight travel

  • Due to the nature of the position the candidate must be a US Citizen
