Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a BIM Manager for AECOM’s Transportation Business Line for all Pennsylvania and Delaware offices. As such, this individual will be working as the leader for BIM/BRIM/CIIM for all technical departments within the region.

This position will provide an opportunity to work as the BIM manager of a specialized group of professionals, in the assessment and development of conceptual, preliminary design, detailed design, construction and asset management phases for major road, airport and rail transportation projects. As a team member, you will be expected to bring related experience in either engineering or architecture and have significant experience with BIM and Revit.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with the national BIM leadership in an effort to assure that projects are completed in accordance with the established standards

  • The BIM manager will take an active part in training personnel in BIM procedures and work with other BIM managers and BIM coordinators within the region

  • Monitor projects to facilitate conformance with standards

  • Provide leadership, oversight and guidance to other BIM managers and BIM Coordinators within the region in an effort to have standardization regarding BIM project set up

  • Work with other local and national managers in an effort to develop BIM/BRIM/CIIM work

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering

  • 10+ years of design experience accompanied by expertise in BIM software and implementation

  • Capable of developing and leading inter-discipline coordination efforts and quality control/quality assurance on design documents and models

  • Capable of collaborating with team members in a constructive manner

  • Full knowledge of REVIT, BIM and CAD software

  • Good verbal and written communications skills

  • Knowledge of common office software such as Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Self-motivated and experienced in performing and delivering quality work

  • Demonstrated abilities to work within project timeframes and budget constraints

  • Capable of working in a team environment

  • Able to lead others in a positive and constructive environment and communicate BIM/Revit goals on projects

  • Familiarity with codes and standards for buildings and facilities

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed as a professional engineer or architect and capable of obtaining reciprocity in other states as required
