AECOM Human Resources Manager in ORLANDO, Florida

Job Summary

Shimmick, an AECOM company, is seeking a Customer Service Center (CSC) Human Resources Manager to be based in Orlando, FL.

This position reports independently to the Director of Human Resources and directly to the CSC Program Manager. The ideal candidate will have a solid HR Business Partner background and demonstrated experience as a human resource partner implementing HR programs and initiatives. The selected individual will be able to build internal business partnerships, provide coaching to leaders and offer creative solutions to business issues. Additionally, the CSC Human Resources Manager will manage all activities related to staffing, recruiting, screening, and hiring staff for the CSC. The HR culture requires an assertive and dynamic individual who is proactive in communications and able to develop effective relationships at all levels within the company. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing multifaceted initiatives in conjunction with day-to-day activities with minimum supervision

Job Duties Include:

  • Oversees HR function for the CSC.

  • Ensures compliance of regulations and laws within areas of responsibility.

  • Ensures consistency of Corporate HR systems and policies within areas of responsibility.

  • Makes HR recommendations, as needed, for changes in policies and procedures.

  • Advises others extensively with a high degree of reliance on individual's HR expertise.

  • Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations within the Human Resources department.

  • Manage and mentor direct reports.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • HR areas: employee relations, coaching & facilitation, organizational development, conflict resolution, employee communications

  • Collaborate with all groups within the Shimmick/AECOM HR function, translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives

  • Coach Project Team on effective team building, change management and organizational effectiveness.

  • Ensure proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives.

  • Effectively manage employee relations issues and investigations.

  • Advise and facilitate in areas such as people management and career development.

  • Develop and implement programs which foster employee engagement.

  • Partner with internal resources to execute corporate wide HR initiatives and programs.

  • Is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on individual's HR interpretations and advice.

  • May work with subject matter experts, outside consultants and vendors, as required.

  • Receives limited supervision or general direction, with strategic guidance from HR Directors.

  • As an individual contributor, conceives, plans and conducts consultation in areas of considerable scope and complexity.

  • Provides work leadership and training for HR project team.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an HR professional working with a call center workforce.
