AECOM Buildings and Places is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Architect, Federal projects for immediate employment. We’re looking for a leader of design excellence, one whose design philosophy and practice is driven by a passion for the market sector, for clients, for mentoring staff and for building business. While the majority of AECOM’s West Region Federal work is in California, the region includes Washington, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, and Hawaii. The B+P Federal Practice includes Architecture, Engineering, Interiors, Planning & Economics, and Consulting.
The Project Architect is expected to lead projects and help manage the deliverables for a wide range of project types and sizes through all phases of design, documentation, and construction. The role would be dedicated to design excellence through an integrated approach to creative problem-solving. In this role, you are a team leader and will have the opportunity to lead not only from a project perspective, but from a team and culture standpoint.
Revit and BIM required as well as experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
Experience in construction documents
Ability to lead integrated design teams of varying sizes to accomplish project delivery from concept through construction document completion and may perform construction administration
Confidence in working in a complex environment
Engaged, inquisitive and highly collaborative
Empathy for great design and attention to detail
Strategic and critical thinking
Analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving
Professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Master’s degree in Architecture with 7+ years of relevant experience in design, rendering and resolving technical issues or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Support Federal projects within the last 10 years through all phases of design and construction
DoD and Federal Civilian experience
Varying project types to include headquarters, , training facilities, interiors, hangars, vehicle maintenance, base support (gym, entry control, warehouse)
Experience on Federal Design Build projects
Ability to be client facing and lead client discussions and charrettes
Proficiency with UFCs and other federal criteria
Relocation benefits are available
Security Clearance not required, but preferred
